October 8 - 17, 2005

Our fall color trip to North Carolina and Virginia, following much of the Blue Ridge Parkway from as far south as Asheville, NC to its northern terminus near Waynesboro, VA.

Our intention was to photograph the fall color, but unseasonably warm weather kept most of the leaves green while wind, rain and fog made us change plans often. Nevertheless, the sun did peep through, some colored leaves did appear, and the fog and clouds presented photo ops of their own.

To keep the page sizes reasonable,
the photos are arranged in 5 thematic groups.
